Building a successful business as a remote mom entrepreneur isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes strategy, dedication, and the right tools — here's how to lay the foundation for your venture with confidence.

When I started, I didn’t realize just how long it would take to turn a profit and understand the key elements that attract leads and encourage them to follow through on the desired action.

My journey began in 2014, after a few years of designing event flyers and building and maintaining multiple websites. My circle kept saying, “You should start a business.” The words alone were daunting, but truly grasping what they were suggesting has been a 10-year journey filled with trials, setbacks, and triumphs.

That sounds dramatic... let’s just say the journey has been real! By 2022, I was preparing to incorporate my business and apply for my MBE certification. I finally mustered the confidence I needed to start talking about my business more openly. It took me a while to pinpoint where I felt the most tension in networking, and it turned out to be that common problem: worrying too much about what other people think about you and your decisions. Not long ago during meditation, I came across a yogi who shared how this was the very thing he had to conquer before he could truly travel and study as his heart yearned. That hit home.

Speaking of travel — that’s a story worth sharing. I started researching digital nomads, and as a big fan of HGTV and the Travel Channel, I was hooked. It all looked so carefree and doable. I had decided that I was going to travel or at least interview people who did. I became obsessed with the idea, and wouldn't you know it? The magic of manifestation came through. In the spring of 2023, I manifested a 16-month digital nomad experience (definitely not for the faint of heart).

Here’s here are somethings to begin working on while you get your business entity paper work completed and submitted.
